چکیده

Wheat stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst), is an extremely destructive wheat disease worldwide. Yunnan and Guizhou provinces are the main overwintering regions for Pst inoculum sources in China. Surveillance of race dynamics population essential managing local other wheat-growing However, this region not monitored yearly. In study, a 113 isolates from 2018 were phenotyped on two differential sets analyzed 12 simple sequence repeat (SSR) markers. As result, 25 races identified Chinese differentials predominant was CYR32 with frequency 17.70%. None virulent to Yr5 Yr15. Only few showed virulence YrTr1 Zhong 4. The Kosman index (K) 0.292 differentials, 0.274 single Yr gene lines additional respectively. total, 64 MLGs detected among expected heterozygosity (He) 0.424. A close genetic relationship between Lufeng (Yunnan) / Nayong (Guizhou), Fuyuan Bijie Shizong Xingyi (Guizhou). This study provided useful information structure genes epidemiological regions, will be used guide control rust targeted breeding region.

Diversity resistance to Puccinia striiformis f. sp Tritici in rye chromosome arm 1RS expressed in wheat.

The 1BL.1RS wheat-rye translocation contained in the Russian cultivar Aurora has been the most widespread alien translocation in wheat-breeding programs all over the world. However, following the prevalence of new biotypes of the pathogens, disease-resistance genes in this translocation chromosome have been overcome and consequently they have been eliminated in modern wheat-breeding programs. I...

Molecular Characterization of a Fus3/Kss1 Type MAPK from Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, PsMAPK1

Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici (Pst) is an obligate biotrophic fungus that causes the destructive wheat stripe rust disease worldwide. Due to the lack of reliable transformation and gene disruption method, knowledge about the function of Pst genes involved in pathogenesis is limited. Mitogen-activated protein kinase (MAPK) genes have been shown in a number of plant pathogenic fungi to play...

Whole genome amplification of the rust Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici from single spores.

Rust fungi are obligate parasites and cannot be routinely cultured to obtain sufficient biomass for DNA extractions. Multiple displacement amplification (MDA) was demonstrated in this study for whole genome amplification from single spores of the rust fungus, Puccinia striiformis. The genomic DNA coverage and fidelity of this method was evaluated by PCR amplification and sequencing of two genet...

Epidemiology and control of stripe rust [Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici ] on wheat

Stripe rust of wheat, caused by Puccinia striiformis f. sp. tritici, is one of the most important diseases of wheat worldwide. This review presents basic and recent information on the epidemiology of stripe rust, changes in pathogen virulence and population structure, and movement of the pathogen in the United States and around the world. The impact and causes of recent epidemics in the United ...
